VANORMER OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== VANORMER, James Robert 1934 - 1993 James Robert VanOrmer was born September 28, 1934, in Osceola, the son of Paul and Florence (Ingram) VanOrmer. He passed away July 17, 1993, at his home in Clinton at the age of 58. He grew up in Clinton and attended school here and graduated from Clinton High School in 1952. He was married to the former Kathleen Trainer and to this union two sons were born. They made their home for many years in Omaha, Nebraska. He was a sales manager for Napa Auto Parts in Omaha. He was with this company for 30 years before retiring and moving back to Clinton in 1983. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Clinton. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen, of the home; two sons, David Wayne VanOrmer, Kileen, Texas, and Brian Keith VanOrmer, Omaha, Nebraska; two brothers, William Paul VanOrmer, Clinton, and Jerry Van Ormer, Omaha, Nebraska; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, 1993, at the United Methodist Church in Clinton. Reverend Frederick Zahn officiated. Don Eaton sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Amazing Grace", accompanied by organist Helen Shrout. Pallbearers were Gilbert Goth, Jim Price, Joe Wagoner, Bob Daugherty, Keith Henry and Tom Goodbrake. Honorary pallbearers were Ray Spellman, Sr., Bill Young, Shobe Smith and Ray Litton.
