VanWINKLE OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== VanWINKLE, Forrest L. 1919 - 1987 Forrest L. VanWinkle, 68, Leeton, died December 31, 1987, at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton. He was born Sep 24, 1919, in Windsor, the son of Rufus and Rosa Larrison VanWinkle. On Feb 11, 1946, he married Mildred Lutjen in Fort Scott, KS. He owned and operated service stations in Leeton for 18 years and retired from the Central Missouri State University custodial department. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert, and one brother, Jessie. Surviving are his wife, of the home; five sons, Charles, David, Jim, Dennis and Bill; four sisters and one brother. Funeral services were held Jan 2 at Leeton Christian Church. Burial was in Mineral Creek Cemetery, Leeton. VanWINKLE, Mildred L. LUTJEN 1925 - 1995 Mildred L. VanWinkle, 70, Warrensburg, died Sunday, Dec 24, 1995, at Western Missouri Medical Center. She was born on April 13, 1925, in Edmundson, the daughter of Leon Lutjen and Zora Boatright Lutjen. On Feb 11, 1946, she and Forrest VanWinkle were married in Fort Scott, KS. He preceded her in death on Dec 31, 1987. Mrs. VanWinkle had worked as head cook at Western Missouri Medical Center. She also was a member of the Leeton Christian Church. Survivors include five sons, Jim, Licking; Charles, Battlefield; Dennis, Bill and David, all of Warrensburg; one brother Roy Lutjen, Versailles. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert, at birth.
