WARBURTON OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== WARBURTON, Lloyd Jay 1913 - 1997 Lloyd Jay Warburton died Tuesday, December 30, 1997, at Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton at the age of 84 years, nine months and 23 days. He was born March 7, 1913, in Strafford, the son of Charles W. and Mary Elsie Holmes Warburton. He was raised near the Gaines Store, southeast of Clinton. On December 19, 1938, in Warrensburg, he married Bertie M. McLerran, a marriage of 59 years. They had three children, Audria Marie, Willis Lloyd and Linda Darlene. He was a farmer prior to his retirement and moved into Clinton in 1975. Surviving are his wife, Bertie, of the home; his daughter, Linda Tatman, son-in-law, Bob Tatman; two grandchildren, Robert Leslie and Michael Lloyd, all of New London. Also surviving are two sisters, Betty Trout, Independence, and Nadine Peek, Athens, Georgia, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mr. Warburton was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Audria Marie and Willis Lloyd; three sisters, Louise Gilbert, Rose McFall and Frances Scott, also one brother, Alfred Warburton. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 2, 1998, at Consalus Chapel, Clinton. Pastor Bob Fenwick and Pastor Richard Page officiated. Musician and vocalists were Linda Lysinger and Lisa Gurley who sang When the Roll Is Called Up Younder and How Great Thou Art. Pallbearers were Roger Gurley, David Gurley, James Henselman, F. M. Groff, John Julian and Bill Gilkey.
