WARREN OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== WARREN, Harold Glen & Harley Roy 1925/29 - 1948 Unknown Newspaper article - Brothers Killed in Collision - Wreck Occured West of Windsor Tuesday Night on Crest of Hill - Two Windsor youths, brothers, were instantly killed in a car collision about 11:15 o'clock Tuesday night and the driver of the other car involved was injured, when their cars collided head-on about 100 yards west of the Windsor city limits on Highway 52, on the crest of a hill. Windsor is 25 miles southwest of Sedalia. Dead are Harold Glen Warren, 18, driver of a 1933 Chevrolet coach and his brother, Harley Roy Warren, 22, who was riding in the front seat with his brother. Injured was Jennings H. Palmer, 28, Leeton driver of the other car, a 1940 Lincoln Zephyr sedan. The Warren brothers are sons of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Warren, who reside in Pettis county, four miles east of Windsor, on Highway 52. According to information received here, the Warren brothers had attended a social at the Baptist church in Windsor, and had taken Miss Doris Jean Lockard to her home, two miles west of Windsor on Highway 2. After leaving the home of Miss Lockard's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arch Lockard, thay had driven a little more than a mile when the accident occurred. Skulls Fractured When the two automobiles collided, the brothers were thrown out of their car while Palmer was pinned inside of his automobile and it was some time before the doors could be opened to get him out. Both brothers suffered fractured skulls. Palmer was badly bruised and suffered lacerations. He was taken to a hospital at Clinton, where his condition was reported as serious, but it is believed, not critical. Sheriff R. M. Eberting and State Trooper J. A. Rick, of the highway patrol, made an investigation. Dr. R. S. Hollingsworth, coroner, was called and viewed the bodies, after which he called an inquest. It was held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon the jury returning a verdict the two came to their deaths immediately due to a collision of automobiles. Funeral Thursday The bodies of the two borthers were taken to the Huston-Turner funeral home at Windsor. Harold Glen Warren was born March 10, 1929 and Harley Roy Warren was born June 10, 1925. Besides their parents they are survived by one brother, Bobbie Warren, 14, of the family home. They were members of the Windsor Baptist church, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon. The Rev. E. H. Michelkowsky, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the Laurel Oak Cemetary. WARREN, Infant 1885 - 1886 Clinton MO, Feb 1886 - Died on February 3, 1886 (burial permit has Feb 10 1886), the infant child of Albert and Georgia Warren, aged six weeks WARREN, James 1801 - 1888 Death of an old Settler - James Warren, who died at his home in Lucas, in the early part of January, was a very old and respected citizen of Henry county, having come here about 30 years ago settling in Tebo township. He came from Cooper county. From Tebo township he removed to White Oak, locating in the neighborhood of Lucas where he has lived for about 20 years until his death. His age was about eighty-seven and death was brought on through the infinities of old age. His remains were interred in the Mullin's cemetery. WARREN, John L. 1844 - 1886 Clinton MO, 1886 - In the death of John L. Warren, White Oak township loses a most estimable citizen and well-to-do farmer. He died March 5, 1886 and was buried on the 6th by the Masons. WARREN, Mrs. J. D. n/a - 1886 The Clinton Eye - Died, in this city, Monday, August 2, 1886, at her home on South Washington, Mrs. J. D. Warren of consumption. The funeral services were conducted at the residence Tuesday afternoon, after which a large crowd of mourners followed the remains to their last resting place. She leaves a kind husband and two children to mourn her loss. WARREN, Olinda Mae SCHEELE 1922 - 1997 Olinda Mae Warren, 74, Windsor, died Friday afternoon, March 28, 1997, at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton. She was born August 5, 1922, near Roseland, the daughter of Harry Godfrey Scheele and Dona Belle (Williams) Scheele. On June 12, 1943, in Salem, Oregon, she married William Louis Warren, who survives of the home. Mrs. Warren was a homemaker and had also worked for the Windsor International Shoe Factory for 12 years and the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital for five years, before her retirement. She was a member of the first Baptist Church, Windsor. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry D. and Janet Warren, Windsor, and a grandson, Eric Warren, Windsor. Funeral services were Monday, March 31, 1:30 p.m., at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor, with Rev. Chuck Phillips officiating.
