WEIDEMANN OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== WEIDEMANN, Dorothea Louise SCHLAPPER 1913 - 1991 Dorothea Louise Weidemann, 78, passed away December 16, 1991, at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. She was born July 28, 1913, in Concordia. She was the daughter of Herman and Hattie Sodemann Schlapper. She became the wife of Willard Weidemann and this faithful union lasted 55 years. Born to this union was a daughter. She was very active in the Clinton community and belonged to many organizations. She was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church and worked with Rainbow Girls. She was also a volunteer for the Bloodmobile and a Golden Valley Memorial Hospital gift shop volunteer. She is survived by her husband, Willard, of the home, and her daughter, Mary Margaret Kluge, Wappingers Falls, New York. Also surviving are six grandsons and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 1991, at the Clinton United Methodist Church. Reverend Frederick Zahn officiated. Musical selections were "The Touched Me" by John W. Saunders and "Amazine Grace" by the congregation. Helen Schrout was organist. Pallbearers were Asher Williams, Harold Croft, Kenneth Sperry, Rufus Massey, Harold Smith and Marvin Fluke. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Ken Scott, Raymond Houts, Vollie Harris and Fred Jenkins. Burial was in Englewood Cemetery. WEIDEMANN, Willard E. 1911 - 1994 Willard E. Weidemann was born November 26, 1911, in Clinton, the son of John and Effie Ashley Weidemann. he died Friday, July 1, 1994, at the Westwood Nursing Center in Clinton at the age of 82. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. After returning from the Navy, he joined his father in the construction business and was a lifelong resident of the Clinton community. He was married to Dorthea Schlapper Weidemann and they had shared 55 years together when she preceded him in death on December 16, 1991. He became a well known contractor in Clinton area and built schools, hospitals and many business buildings in both Missouri and Kansas. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and had served as the church treasurer. He was a member, a Paul-Harris Fellow and past president of the Clinton Rotary Club. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Margaret Kluge of Wappingers Falls, New York; six grandsons, Peter Kluge, James Kluge, Mark Kluge, John Kluge, Daniel Kluge, Matthew Kluge, and three great- grandchildren. Funeral services were 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, at the United Methodist Church, Clinton. Rev. David Maggi and Rev. Harold Johnson officiated. Don Eaton sang He Touched Me and the congregation sang Amazing Grace. Scott Brooks was organist. Pallbearers were Peter Kluge, John Kluge, James Kluge, Daniel Kluge, Mark Kluge and Matthew Kluge. Honoarary pallbearers were Kenneth Sperry, Marvin Fluke, Vollie Harris, Raymond Houts and Fred Jenkins. Burial was in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton.
