WEST OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== WEST, Allie Clyde abt 1949 - 1993 Allie Clyde West, 44, Gladstone, died Sunday, September 5, 1993, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Newcomer's White Chapel; burial in White Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. The family suggests memorials to the St. Luke's Hospital memorial fund or the American Cancer Society, c/o the Eagles Lodge, F.O.E. 3667 in Clinton. Mr. West was born in Columbia and moved to Kansas City in 1952. He was a manager for the Sun Fresh Supermarket in Westport. He was a member of McMurry United Methodist Church. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife, Marsha L. West of the home; his mother, Carrie J. West, Liberty, and three brothers, E. L. West, Gladstone, Don West, Clinton, and Orville L. West, Jr., Liberty. WEST, Bonnie Ruth 1908 - 1995 Bonnie Ruth West was born August 22, 1908, in Chilhowee, the daughter of John James and Osie Alice (Stansbery) West. She died Sunday, September 3, 1995, at the Ridgecrest Nursing Home in Warrensburg at the age of 87. Miss West graduated from the Chilhowee High School and lived most of her life in the Chilhowee area. She worked for the United States Postal Service as a postal clerk. She was a member of the Chilhowee Baptist Church. Survivors include a niece, Sandra West, Junction City, Kansas; great-nephew and great-niece, Matthew and Angie West of Chilhowee; two great-great-nephews, Matthew and Richard, and a special friend, Carolyn Sullins, Chilhowee. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother and one nephew. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 6, at the Chilhowee Baptist Church. Brother Warren Haley officiated. Gordon Stegner and Susan Lankford sang Because He Lives and Amazing Grace, accompanied by Mary Ellen Jenkins, organist. Pallbearers were Thurman Sullins, Vance Sullins, Vernon Sullins, Robert Audsley, Ed Evans and Mike Martin. Burial was in Carpenter Cemetery, Johnson County. Arrangements were by Consalus Funeral Home. WEST, Elizabeth n/a - 1885 Clinton MO, Dec 19 1885 - A very old and highly respected lady, Mrs. Elizabeth West, died of a paralytic stroke Tuesday morning at the residence of Mr. Camplin, in the southwest part of town. On retiring in the evening, she seemed to be feeling badly and said: "My feet are paralyzed," which were the last words spoken. Dr. Jennings was called, who did all in his power to restore the patient, but life was too far gone for medical assistance. The remains were laid to rest in the Oak Grove Cemetery. WEST, Elsie Mae HAMLIN 1908 - 1993 Elsie Mae West, age 85, Warrensburg, passed away Sunday, November 28, 1993 at Ridge Crest Care Center in Warrensburg. She was born January 23, 1908 in the Elm, Mo. community, a daughter of Walter Thomas and Eva Lena (Humphrey) Hamlin. She was reared and educated in Elm and graduated from Elm High School in 1927. Mrs. West lived in Kansas City from 1934 until 1983 when she moved to Warrensburg. She was a homemaker and a member of the McMurry United Methodist church in Claycomo, Mo. She leaves one daughters, Ramona K. Turner, Overbrook, Ks.; one sister, Thelma J. Shier, Kingsville; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray West, and one son Larry Wayne West. Graveside services and burial were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 30, at Elm Spring Cemetery, Kingsville, under direction of Ben Cast & Son-Wood Funeral Home, Holden, with Rev. Dennis Chesnut officiating. Pallbearers were Gerald Fisher, Kenyon Snow, Marion Callahan, Glenn Sisk and Dennis Maupin. WEST, T. B. 1835 - 1886 Clinton MO, 1886 - T. B.
