WILLIAMSON OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== WILLIAMSON, Mildred BARKER 1873 - 1949 Mildred Barker Williamson - b: Aug 23 1873 - d: Oct 20 1949 - bur: Teays Chapel Cem, Henry Co. - Dies at Deepwater - Mrs. Mildred Williamson died Thursday, Oct. 20, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wilbur Miller, Deepwater. She had been in failing health several months, but had been bedfast only the past two weeks, during which her children tenderly ministered to her every need, assisted by friends, neighbors, and other kinsmen. Mildred Barker, daughter of Wilson Creed and Emma Barker, was born in Sedalia, Pettis County, Missouri, August 23, 1873, and most of her life was spent in Henry County. At the early age of 13, she surrendered her life to Christ and became a member of the Teays Chapel Church. On December 8, 1892, she was united in marriage to John Roberd Williamson who preceded her in death Mar. 21, 1931. This union was blessed with six children, three of whom died in infancy. Those surviving are a son, Roy Elmer Williamson; two daughters, Mrs. Viola Miller and Mrs. Myrtle Wolford, all of Deepwater. She is also survived by one brother, Joe Barker, of Filer, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. Luella Sullivan, Montrose, and Mrs. Etta Rogers, Valejo, Calif.; four grandchildren, Ruby Mae and Roy Earl Williamson, Mrs. Mildred Lorraine Dunning, and Norma Lea Miller; three great-grandchildren, Lawrence Wilson, Barbara Jean Dunning, and Barbara Ann Williamson. Devoted to her family and church, she spent a rich, full life seeking the comfort and welfare of those dear to her, and ministering as the need arose to neighbors and friends. A fine and good woman, she leaves many to sincerely mourn her passing. Funeral services were conducted at Teays Chapel by Rev. Robt. Streeter Sunday, Oct. 23, at 2:00 p.m. Mrs. J. W. Dunning, Mrs. Leo Beard, Lynn Chambers, and Clay Sell sang "Going Down The Valley," "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" and "Meet Me There," with Mrs. Miles Dunning at the piano. Burial was beside her husband in the church cemetery, Hurst funeral service in charge. WILLIAMSON, Tennie 1851 - 1928 Miss Tennie Williamson died at Windsor, December 7th (1928). She was born September 14, 1851, and taught school for many years in Missouri, Arkansas and Colorado. She was a devout member of the Methodist church and taught in the Sunday School. She was interested in everything that stood for progress in Christianity, literature, music, poetry and art. She was an Eastern Star, a P.E.O., a D.A.R., also belong to Delphian Literary Society and Business and Professional Women's Club of Windsor. Her funeral was conducted December 10th, at her late home.
