WIRSIG, Mattie TALLY n/a - 1999

Kansas City Star Oct 19 1999 - Mattie Wirsig, age 91, of Clinton, MO, passed 
away Sunday, October 17, 1999, at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, MO. 
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 1999, at First Baptist 
Church, Clinton, with burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Family will receive 
friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton. Family 
suggests contributions to the First Baptist Church, Clinton, and may be left at 
the funeral home. Mattie was born in Valhalla, MO, and has lived in Clinton since 
1966. She was married to Leo H. Wirsig on December 24, 1930, and to this union 
five children were born. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was 
preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leo H. Wirsig, and one son, Lyle 
Dean Wirsig, and one brother, Glenister Tally. She is survived by four children, 
Mina Dell Smith and husband, Don of Clinton, Eugene H. Wirsig and wife, Barbara 
of Deepwater, MO, Ruth Ann Roth of Kansas City, MO, and Dixie L. Atchison and 
husband, Gerald of Clinton; one sister, Fern Clark and husband, Allen of Clinton, 
MO; and one brother, Edwin Tally and wife, Irene of St. Cloud, FL, as well as eight 
grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
