WISDOM, Ferrel Fay 1914 - 1991

Ferrel Fay Wisdom, 77, Chilhowee, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 6, 1991, at the 
Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton. He was born July 1, 1914, near Norris 
in Henry County, the son of Charles A. and Mary Maude Nease Wisdom. He was a 
lifelong resident of Henry and Johnson Counties, and had worked as a truck driver 
for Park Seed Company in Holden for 15 years. He was a groundskeeper at Central 
Missouri State University, retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Chilhowee 
Baptist Church. On March 8, 1941, he married Rose Ethel Seaton at Chilhowee. 
Survivors include his wife, Ethel of the home, and a twin sister, Freida Sewell of 
Edmonds, Washington, and several beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded 
in death by two brothers, Hobert and Vernon Wisdom and two sisters, Violet 
Wisdom and Gladys Daniel. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 9, 
at the Ward Funeral Home in Chilhowee with the Rev. Warren Haley officiating. 
Burial was in the Englewood Cemetery in Clinton. Music was by Merril P. Womach, 
who sang "How Great Thou Art" and "The Old Rugged Cross". Pallbearers were 
Wendell, Gail and Galenn Daniel, Ray Seaton, Bill and David Huenefeldt. Memorial 
contributions are suggested to the Chilhowee Baptist Church.
