WOODS OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== WOODS, Joyce Mardue 1929 - 1997 Joyce Mardue Woods was born August 2, 1929, in Henry County, the daughter of Paul and Opal Foster Woods. She died January 29, 1997, at Clinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Care Center. Joyce attended Shilo School and Independence School. She lived most of her life with her mother and dad. After their death she lived at Kenton Place and later at Clinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, receiving good care and lost of love from the nurses and staff. Joyce accepted Christ May 1956. She was a member of the Deepwater Church of the Brethren, where she attended as long as she was able. She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew, Bobby Woods. Surviving are her brother and wife, Cletus and Roma Woods, Clinton; her sister and husband, Kathy and Jim Wilson, Hermitage; one nephew, Scott Wilson and five nieces, Cleta Lorenz, Dixie Wirsig, Lisa Carl, Mindy Johnson and Sue Ann Wilson, Joyce had six great-nephews and six great-nieces. Joyce's four aunts have taken wonderful care of her wants and needs, Bernice Brown, Geraldine Bryant, Maxine McClendon, all of Clinton, and Velma Foster, Lee's Summit. She is also survived by many cousins and a lot of friends. Funeral services were held February 1, at 2 p.m. at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton. Rev. James Brack officiated with Peggy Arthur and David Mills singing Amazing Grace and Peggy Arthur was the organist. Pallbearers were Jim Wilson, Howard Abney, Tom Klimp, Glenn Briggs, Shelby Woods and Dale Batschelett.
