YOUNT OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== YOUNT, Elmer Charles 1892 - 1935 Elmer Charles Yount was born October 22, 1892, at Calhoun and departed this life March 1, 1935, at Bothwell hospital in Sedalia, at 7:45 p.m. being 42 years, 4 months and 5 days of age. He was critically injured the afternoon of February 27 in an accident at the Bowen coal mine. He was at once taken to the hospital where every effort that loving hands and medical aid could do, was given. But due to the injury to the lungs, it was impossible to save him. Elmer was the youngest son of Samuel and Martha Yount, who preceded him in death several years ago. He was married February 18, 1922, to Miss Virgie Wiggins, who survives him, as do two sisters and six brothers: Mrs. Anna Housey of Windsor, Miss Grace Yount of Marshall, Loyd Yount of Calhoun, Edd, John, Jim, Arch and Walter Yount of Pahuska, Oklahoma. In his childhood days, he was a faithful attendant at church and Sunday School, uniting with the church when about seventeen years old. Until his death, he was a faithful supporter of the church. He counted his friends by his acquaintances, and was loved by young and old alike as he was a true friend to all. Funeral services were conducted from the Calhoun Methodist church Sunday at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. W. F. Hudson of Drakes Chapel, where the wife is a faithful member. Rev.
