ZINGRE OBITUARIES, Henry County, Missouri ==================================================================== ZINGRE, Oscar Charles 1905 - 1997 Oscar Charles Zingre, son of John William and Emma Louise Theiss Zingre, was born September 31, 1905, in Union, Mo., and died January 2, 1997, at his home in Clinton at the age of 91 years. Oscar was a staff sergeant during World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He then moved to Kansas City where he was a supervisor for the Social Security Payment Center before he retired in 1966. Oscar was a member of the First Christian Church of Clinton, American Legion Post No. 14 and Honor Guard of Clinton and a life member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers and four sisters. He is survived by his wife, Lillian, who resides at Clinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton. Graveside services were held on Monday, January 6, at 10:30 a.m. at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, with Rev. Howard Cupp, Jr. officiating. Members of American Legion Post No. 14 were pallbearers and conducted a military service.
