The Hannibal Journal July 22, 1847
The remains of Lieut. Kelley who was slain in the battle of Buena Vista passed 
up on the "Ocean Wave," last Saturday destined for ther final resting place in 
Quincy, his late adopted home.  May his ashes rest in peace, and his name be 
handed down to generations yet unborn, as a brave patriot and soldier.
