Martha Elizabeth Nunn, daughter of Mr and Mrs Starlin Nunn, was born September 
1, 1861 in the state of Tennessee.  She passed away at the home of a daughter, 
Mrs Emma Fugate, April 9, 1936, at 2:40am at the age of 74 yrs, 7 mths and 8 
days.  She was united in marriage to James Henry Hyde November 7, 1879.  To 
this union were born seven children, three of whom are living.  Her husband 
preceded her in death six years, as did four of her children.  The children 
surviving are Bertie Hyde, Mrs Mart Fugate and Mrs Marvin Maddux, all of 
Urbana Mo.  She professed faith in Christ about forty-four years ago and 
united with the Hickory Barnes Baptist Church and lived a faithful Christian 
life until the end.  Mrs Hyde has been in failing health for about two years 
but her last illness only lated about two weeks.  Besides her three children 
she leaves sixteen grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and a host of friends to 
mourn her passing.  The children and grandchildren have lost a patient and 
loving mother and the neighbors a true and faithful friend.  Funeral services 
were conducted by Rev. J.R. Smith at Mission Ridge Friday afternoon at 2:30.  
Burial was under direction of L.B. Jones
