Henry Henderson Simmons, son of Joseph and Leatha Simmons, was born on 26 
September 1864 at Little California Mo, and died 9 February 1950 at the home 
of his daughter Mrs Oral Jackson, east of Preston Mo, at the age of 85 yrs, 4 
mths and 15 days.  He was united in marriage to Nancy Arnett who passed away 
in April 1943.  To this union were born 12 children, two children having 
preceded him in death.  He was converted and united with the Missionary 
Baptist church early in life and remained true to his faith of the Lord until 
the end.  He leaves to mourn his passing the 10 children; Ramey of LaMonte Mo, 
Coma Buffon, Pleasanton Ks, Myrtle Sprattley, Sedalia Mo, Willie of Nelson Mo, 
Curtis of Sentinel Mo, George of Marshall Mo, Anna Goodson of Sedalia Mo, Ola 
McCoy of Nelson Mo, Nellie Jackson of Preston Mo, Thomas of Odessa Mo; 54 
grandchildren, 75 great grandchildren, one brother, Tom Simmons of 
Higginsville Mo and one sister Mattie Allen of Van Buren In. He was laid to 
rest in Bethal Camp Ground Cemetery under the direction of Vaughan Reser 
Funeral Home of Urbana Mo
