The State of Missouri     To all persons to whom these presents shall come
Greeting   Know yet that whereas Josep  Allsup late of the County of
Hickory died intestate as it is said having at the time of his death
property in this State which may be lost destroyed or diminished in value
if speedy care be not taken of the same, to the end therefore that said
property may be collected preserved and disposed of according to law, we
hereby appoint Daniel Epley Administrator of all and singular the goods and
chattels rights and credits which were of the said Joseph Allsup at the
time of his death with full power and authority to receive and dispose of
said property according to law and collect all money due said deceased and
in general to do and perform all other acts and things which are or
hereafter may be Requested of him by law.

	In testimony whereof I Wiliam Paxton Judge of the Probate Court In and for
the County of Hickory
       L S       aforesaid have hereunto signed my name and affixed the
seal of said Court
	        at office this 6th day of February  A D 1854

County of Hickory }ss    David Epley being duly sworn by me Judge of the
Probate Court of Hickory County depose and says that to the best of his
knowledge & belief the names of the heirs of Joseph Allsup^deceased are as
follows viz:  Eliza C. Epley  Sarah Piper  Harriet Edde  Daniel Allsup 
Henry Allsup  all of Hickory County Missouri  Dorcus Wallace  deceased and
Mary Beck  deceased.  (Correction:  Dorcas Beck and Mary Wallace)
That the said Joseph Allsup Died without a will  that he will make a
perfect Inventory of and faithfully Administrate the Estate of Josep Allsup
and pay the debts as far the assets will extend and the law direct and
account for and pay ^ all assets which shall come to his Knowledge

				        1849-1873

Vol. A, p. 184, 1849-1857
Tuesday Morning December the 4th A.D. 1855    Court met according to
previous adjournment present as on Monday.  Now at this day come the
Administrator of the Estate of Joseph Alsup and files here in Court the
Receipt of Harriet Alsup for the sum of $160.00 being the same amount of
money received by him up to this date as administrator.		$160.00
  Ordered that the widow of of Joseph Alsup Deceased be allowed one hundred
and 60 Dollars as Dower in personal estate.

in full for his Estate
