Of Chariton township & county of Howard & state of Missouri, being advanced in years & knowing the uncertainty of life & also being infirm in body & in a precarious state of health, concidering myself to be of a sound & desposing mind, do declare this to be my last will & testament. I will that my depts. Shall first be paid if any exist at my demise together with my funeral expenses are paid, I will that an advance of seventy five dollars be made to my son James Q Shipp that being about the amount advanced to each & all my other children. I will that all the balance of my real & personal property, houses, lands, tenements & effects belong to my beloved wife & companion Mary Shipp during her widowhood or during her natural life in case she does not marry, but in that invent that she marries, then the intent of my will is that she entitled to no more than her dower in my estate & the residue equally distributed amongst my children with out exception, who will herein after be named & designated, but in the event that my beloved wife Mary Shipp does not marry, but remains a widow during life, I will that all my estate after her decease, both real & personal be equally divided & disbursed to the following heirs, ? (their administrator is assigns forever )? The surviving heirs of my daughter Letty Armick deceased shall be entitled to one share equal in all to only one share of my surviving children, Sarah Kivett my daughter shall be entitled to one full share, Joseph Shipp my son, to one share, (Choe)? Shipp my son to one share, Feilding Shipp my son, one share, the surving heirs of John ? Shipp my son deceased, one share, John H Shipp my son, one share, Mary ? Ballew my daughter, one share, Gibson M Shipp my son to one share, Joel W Shipp my son to one share & james Q ship my son to one share, I also constitute to appoint the Hon. -?- E - ?- of Howard County & state of Missouri to be the executor of this my last will & testament.
