    I, Sarah E. Shipp, widow of John S. Shipp deceased, do hereby take in lien of owner in the
  Estate of said deceased, in addition to my real estate are the personal property in ossession
  of my said husband at his death that came to him in my right- by means of the marriage- under
  the 4th section of the act concerning dower approved March 24th 1845
                  Witness my hand and seal on this 31st day of May 1852

     On the 31st of May 1852 personally appeared before me Sarah E. Shipp, who is personally
  known to meto be the same person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing instrument of
