Will Book 4 Pages 191 & 192 Filed & Recorded November 22, 1851 I, David White of the County of Howard and State of Missouri of sound & disposing mind and not long to expecting to live and being desirous of disposing of the Estate which God has blessed me according to my Will do hereby declare and publish this as my last Will and Testament. First, I dispose of my worldly goods as follows, my just debt are to be first paid after the funeral. Expensives of myself are paid. 2nd- I give unto my daughter, Mary Dehaven One hundred and fifty dollars after deducting the amount which she or her husband is owing me at my decease from the aforesaid amount. 3rd – I give and bequeath unto my daughter Nancy Vanhorn & the heirs of Margaret Kelly & the heirs of Sally Slightom and the heirs of Hannah Saunders and Elizabeth Creps, one cent apiece. 4th- To my son Alexander White and my daughter Louisa Vanhorn, I give a cent apiece. 5th- To my granddaughter Susan Dehaven I give all my beds and bedding. 6th- To my son Joshua White, I give all my farming utensils and all the remainder of my property, cash, dues and demands whatsoever which maybe due me by note or otherwise. 7th- I nominate and appoint my son Joshua H White as the executor of this, my last Will and Testament. My will and wish is at my death, that my executor shall take an inventory of the notes, dues and demands that are due me and file the same in the office of the Clerk of the County Court of Howard County, after this will is put to record & letters of administration are granted & if the said Joshua H White takes out letters, he shall not be ruled to give security or bond for his performances & further, he shall not be required to make but one settlement with the court and that settlement shall be final. In testimony whereof I hereunto subscribe my name this 25th day February AD 1851 his David X White Declared and published by David White Mark as his will in presence of us by his making his mark to it in our presence Attest David Pipes James Butler We David Pipes and James Butler the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing ___ to be the last will of said David White Decd., do swear that said David White acknowledged the same to be his last will in our presence, that his name was written thereto by David Pipes at the request of said Testator & he Will of David White Continued made his mark in the presence of said Pipes and afterwards acknowledge the same in the presence of said Butler as his last will, that we subscribe our names thereto at his request in his presence & that said Testator was at the time of, he acknowledge said will of sound mind.
