Burial Union Hill Cemetery, Howell Co., MO. Born in Overton Co., Tennessee on Nov. 18, 1846. Moved to Missouri in 1853. In 1863 he enlisted in the Union Army, Co. L, 11th MO Cav. (Aug, 1863-July, 1865). Leaves a young wife, (Augusta) and 4 small children (Pearl -b. July, 1893) (George b. Oct, 1894) (Guy b. July, 1896) and (an unknown Padgett); five children by a former marriage, Charley, Joplin, MO; Elmer & John Padgett. Coffeyville, KS; Mattie Padgett & Mrs. J. G.
