Iron County, Missouri Newspaper July 21, 1935
On July 20, 1935, Truman Stevenson (born September 30, 1906) was stabbed to 
death by Orville Lucy (Lacey), 24 years, in Sabula, Iron County, Missouri.  
Lucy's brother, Paul, 22 years, was with him.  Lucy was arrested for the 
murder.  He escaped from Iron County jail on August 23, 1935. During the escape 
he stabbed a jail Sheriff.  Truman (Nay) Stevenson left behind a 2 year old son 
who became orphaned. The son's mother, Lucille Stevenson (Fissel) died in 1994. 
The orphaned boy is my father, who knows nothing about the circumstances of his 
father's murder or his mother's death.  Does anyone have any information, 
police reports, newspaper articles or recollections of the murder of Truman 
Stevenson and/or the death of Lucille Stevenson?
