Julia Stafford , a native of Virginia, was born in 1841. At age two years she went to Kentucky where she made her home with her grandparents. In 1862 she was united in marriage to Henry H. Goodwin, coming to Missouri soon after, and has been a resident of Missouri since that date. Mr. Goodwin and one daughter preceded her several years ago in death. Besides her three sons, a daughter and five grandchildren survive. Mrs. Goodwin was a member of the Lee's Summit Christian Church, having united with this church about 8 years ago. Mrs. Goodwin was always a devoted wife and mother.
