The Kansas City Times Metropolitan Edition Saturday, May 31, 1980 page B-8, column 3 Deaths/Funerals Montie F Gaines Montie Francis Gaines, 69 of 7200 E. 92nd, died Friday at Lakeside Hospital. he was born in Dearing, Kan., and had lived in this area most of his life. Mr. Gaines was a laundry man at the Lake City Army Ammunitions Plant 25 years before he retired in 1975. He was a Protestant. He leaves three sons, William F. Gaines, Olin R. Gaines, and Claude E. Gaines of Kansas City; three daughters, Mrs. Carolyn L. Smith and Miss Neva L. Gaines of Higginsville, Mo., and Mrs. Viola Cooper of the home; a brother, Claude L. Gaines, Kansas City; two sisters, Mrs. Erma Young, Miami, and Mrs. Jessie Anderson, Prosser, Wash; and eight grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Mount Moriah Chapel; burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
