Funeral services were held February 12 in Kansas City for Benjamin H. 
Schofield, Sr. 87, who died in a nursing home in that city on February 10. He 
was born in the Parkville community where he lived until 1939 when he moved to 
the city and was employed by the Kansas City Power & Light Company until 1953. 
Mr Schofield was superintendent of the Park College farms until his move.
Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Roxie Jantzen, Platte City, Mrs. Mary A. 
Brink, Parkville,; Mrs. Pauline Coonce, and Mrs. Helen VanMeter of Kansas City; 
Mrs. Mabel Phillips, Overland Park and Mrs. Elizabeth Hevalow, Gladstone; three 
sons, Calvin C. Schofield, Grandview; Benjamin Schofield, Jr., VA Hospital, 
Topeka, and John W. Schofield, the former Louise Crigger died in 1969.
Mr. Schofield also leaves 20 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren.
