Gibson was born Aug. 17, 1838, in Jackson County, and died at her home in Blue Springs, after an extended illness, Feb 6, 1918, at the age of 80 years, 6 months and 19 days. She was married to Albert G. Williams June 3, 1855, and to them 11 children were born, 9 of whom are living and with 9 grandchildren are left to mourn her loss. The children are: Mrs. J. A. Shepherd, Mrs. J. W. Stanley, Mrs. S. W. Porter, Rufus Williams, Albert L. Williams, Mrs. J. E. Hutchens, Mrs. J. F. Lewe (error, should be Lowe), Mrs. W. J. Dillingham and Mr.s Maude Lowe. With the exception of two years Mr. and Mrs. Williams lived on a farm 4 miles north of Blue Springs, until 1906 when they retired from the farm and moved to Blue Springs. Mr. Williams departed this life June 26, 1913. Funeral services were held at the home Feb 7, conducted by George W. Petty of Sedalia, Mo. Burial was in the Blue Springs, Cemetery, and the large concourse of neighbors and friends who attended her funeral and followed her to her grave attest the high esteem in which she was held. We have lost our darling mother, She has bid us all adieu; She has gone to live in Heaven And her form is lost to view. Oh, that dear one, how we loved her, Oh, how hard to give her up, But an angel came down for her And removed her from out flock. Precious mother, she has left us, Left us, yes, for evermore, But we hope to meet our loved one On that bright and happy shore Lonely the house and sad the hours Since our dear one has gone; But, oh , a brighter home than ours In heaven is now her own. ==================================================================== USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
