Jasper County, Missouri Obituaries - Mrs. Herbert PECK Joplin News Herald (defunct), Joplin, Mo. September 8, 1931 Oklahoma City, Sept. 8 - AP Mrs. Herbert M. Peck, 45 years old, wife of a prominent Oklahoma City attorney, shot and fatally wounded herself at her home here today. Carl Traub, justice of the peace, acting as coroner, returned a verdict of suicide. Mrs. Peck, who had not been in good health, was dressing for a shopping trip. Peck, in another room, heard a gunshot and hurried to his wife's bedroom. She was dead when a physician reached her.
