Joplin News Herald (defunct), Joplin, Mo. both obits published on November 26, 1911 Tribune obit: LITTLE GIRL DIES Letta Paxton, aged three years and five months, died at 7 o'clock last night at the home of J.E. Stevens, Crow and Madison streets. The child had recently undergone an operation at the jane Chinn hospital, which it was thought would bring the glow of health to her cheeks. The funeral will be held Monday at 2 o'clock at Tipton Ford, from the Spring Valley schoolhouse. ***************** News Herald obit: LETHA PAXTON Letha Paxton, 3 years old, died at 7 o'clock last night at the home of J.E. Stevens, a brother-in-law, corner of Madison avenue and Crow street. Earlier Saturday an operation was performed on her in the Jane Chinn hospital, but her condition was such that only a small hope for her recovery was entertained. Following the operation the child was moved to the Stevens home. Funeral services will be held in the Spring Valley school house at Tipton Ford, Mo. at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon.
