She was survived by three sons, S C Boggess, mayor of Carthage, Hale Boggess of the Central National bank, and Rev Thomas H Boggess of Kansas City, also two brothers, George B Wood of Carthage and Robert A Wood of Dallas, Texas and one sister Heneriette Jarvis of Claremore, Okla. Mrs Boggess had lived in Carthage since 1889. The body was taken to the old home at Bristol, W Va for burial." Copy from Jane Hough, d/o Edith (Boggess) Hough (1906-1996). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Additional Comments: Sarah was buried in Point Pleasant cemetery next to the site of a school she taught in the late 1860s, on Wizzardism Run, in Carpenter Hollow, Tenmile district of Harrison county, West Virginia, next to her husband Samuel Boggess (1811-1888) and behind her parents, John and Cassandra Hess Wood and four siblings. The Methodist church abandoned its cemetery with over 120 buried in 1964.
