JARVIS DEAD                ~~~~~~~~~     SISTER OF GEORGE B WOOD      SUCCUMBS AT AGE 80                 ~~~~~~~     End Comes Unexpectedly Today at      Home in Claremore ~~ Burial              to Be Here                ~~~~~~~~~     Mrs Henriette Jarvis, 80 years old, sister of George B Wood of Carthage, died suddenly 8 o'clock this morning at her home in Claremore, Okla. The death message received here did not give further details. Mrs Jarvis had been enjoying unusually good health recently and in a letter received by Mr Wood last Saturday declared she never felt better.       Mrs Jarvis made her home in Carthage prior to her marriage 35 years ago to W L Jarvis. He died 10 years ago. She also made her home here for a time five or six years ago while recuperating from a broken hip, and visited here on other occasions, having many friends in this city.     Mrs Jarvis' body will be brought to Carthage for burial, arriving here probably tomorrow morning. Funeral arrangements had not been made today.     Mr Jarvis, who was a building contractor, died at Centerhoma, Okla, where they had resided a number of years. Prior to locating there they lived in Texas. Mrs Jarvis was a native of West Virginia. She attained her 80th birthday last August 3.     Surviving Mrs Jarvis are two brothers, George B Wood of Carthage and John H Wood of Bellaire, Ohio. The later is 88 years old. H M and S C Boggess of Carthage are nephews of Mrs Jarvis and Mrs Ed H Irwin is a niece. Several other nieces and nephews survive residing in Ohio, Iowa, and West Virginia. Mrs Jarvis was a member of the methodist Episcopal church             Additional Comments:         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Henriette Jane Wood (1847-1928) was in household of Samuel Boggess for 1880 census in Harrison county, WV and travelled to Carthage with his widow, her sister, Sarah Elizabeth (Wood) Boggess (1835-1918) and her three young sons, September 1889. 2)- CARTHAGE EVENING PRESS, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 4, 1928       ----------------------------------------          FUNERAL OF MRS JARVIS                 ~~~~~~~~   Services at 10:30 A M Tomorrow at              Knell Parlors     Funeral services for Mrs W L Jarvis, former Carthage resident who died yesterday morning at her home in Claremore, Okla will be held at 10:30 o'clock tomorrow morning at the Knell chapel. The Rev W F Bradley, pastor of the Fist Presbyterian church, will be in charge. The body arrived here this morning from Claremore.     Mrs J H Baily and Miss Geneva Moore will sing the funeral hymns and Mrs Hugh Sanders as accompanist. The Rev W F Bradley, pastor of First Presbyterian church, was in charge, assisted by the Rev Fank H Ebright, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal church.     Mrs J H Baily an Miss Geneva Moore sang "Abide with me" and "Nearer My God to Thee." They were accompanied bt Mrs Hugh Sanders at the piano.     Pallbearers were Willis Wallingford, C D Morgan, Frank Moore, Fred Hodson, S E Wheeler and Horace Campbell.     Burial was in Park cemetery.
