The contracting parties were Hale Boggess and Miss Sudie D Casey, Rev J W Stewart officiating.     The ring ceremony was used and the occasion was an impressive and happy one. The bride was handsomely dressed in gray and carried a lovely bouquet. She looked exceptionally beautiful and many admiring glances were centered upon her. The groom was attired in conventional black and looked handsome as he stood beside his blushing bride.     After the ceremony a wedding banquet was spread under supervision of B B Brites to which all present did ample justice. The guests were: A M Wallngford and wife, Willis and Edith Wallingford, parents, brother and sister of the bride; Mrs Boggess, mother of the groom; Mr and Mrs Sam Boggess of Galena, Mrs Geo Wood of St Louis (sic, Wheeling, West Virginia), an aunt of the groom; and Miss Bettie Hammond of Nevada, an intimate friend of the bride.     Many handsome and beautiful presents were presented among the most important of which were a $50 china dinner set from Central National bank, extension table, Mr and Mrs A M Wllingford, silver set, Mrs Wood; lovely book case, Mr and Mrs Sam Boggess; lace curtains, Willis Wallingford; bisque statuette, "Blind Musician" Mrs Wallace.     Mr and Mrs Hale Boggess have been sweethearts ever since childhood. The bride has grown up in Carthage, educated in the Carthage schools and is admired by all who know her sweat disposition and lovable manner. Mr Boggess is a Carthage reared young man. For four years he has been with the Central National bank, being continually promoted for his steady application in business and tustworthines. Their new home is handsomely furnished and fitted and their journey through life together bids fair to be one of unalloyed happiness.       Additional Comments:     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sudie David Casey was born 1878 at Milford, Kentucky, bore one daughter, Elizabeth, died in 1949. Parents moved east of Carthage in 1885, father, William David Casey died, so mother Sophia Elizabeth (Marsh) Casey returned to Kentucky where she married A M Wallngford with one son same age as Sudie. They had a daughter then moved back to Carthage where both died, he in 1913, be-headed in a freak train accident, she in 1937. Hale Matthew Boggess was born 1879 in Bristol, West Virginia, father, Samuel died in 1888, mother, Sarah Elizabeth (Wood) Boggess brought her three sons to Carthage in 1889, where she died in 1918 and Hale in 1942. Hale was employed by the bank 37 years, retired in 1933, the last six years its president.
