The De Soto Press, Friday, February 3, 1922
Emily Jane Chambers was born September 11, 1832 and died Jan. 27, 1922, aged 
89 years, 4 months, and 16 days.  She was married to Joseph S. Chambers and to 
this union were born eleven children, only 3 of whom survive her.  They are 
Mrs. Mary Umberger of Kokomo, Wash., J. J. Chambers, Prescott, Ark., and Mrs. 
Nancy E. Seeley of De Soto with whom the mother has made her home of late 
years.  Her husband passed away twenty years ago.

Early in life, she professed faith in Crhist and united with the Christian 
Church.

She leaves to mourn her departure three children and a number of other grand 
children and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. T. Wilkinson at ten A. M. January 
22, and the body laid to rest in the city cemetery.
