Delaney Buried Here H.A. Delaney, a former resident of DeSoto, was buried here on Wednesday, the funeral being held from the First Baptist Church. A. Rev. Pinkerton of St. Louis preached the funeral sermon. Mr. Delaney, who was past middle age, died at the State Sanitarium for Tuberculosis, at Mt. Vernon. When the division offices of the railroad were located here, Mr. Delaney worked in the Superintendents office. His wife was a DeSoto Girl. She and three children, two sons and a daughter, survive him. The De Soto Times, dated 12/14/1917, Page 3, Col 1 Obituary: The De Soto Press Friday, Dec., 14, 1917 Henry A. Delaney, aged 53 yrs, died Saturday, December 8, 1917, at Mt. Vernon, Mo., and the remains were brought here Wednesday for internment. Services were held at the Baptist church at 2 o'clock p. m. Mr. Delaney for many years was a clerk in the railroad offices here and had a large circle of friends who regret his death. He is survived by a widow and three children.
