Biographical Sketch of James Goin, Johnson County, Missouri Grover Township >From "The History of Johnson County, Missouri," Kansas City Historical Co. 1881 JAMES GOIN, P.O. Sigel; was born but a few steps from where he now lives, May 13, 1846. His parents came to this state early and located here. His father was a native of Kentucky, and died 1847, leaving his mother to provide for the family. His mother is a native of Virginia. She is still in good physical vigor. Mr. Goin is the youngest of his father's family.
