Biographical Sketch of C. T. Oglesby, Johnson County, Missouri Grover Township >From "The History of Johnson County, Missouri," Kansas City Historical Co. 1881 C. T. OGLESBY, farmer and stock raiser; postoffice, Knobnoster; was born April 23, 1834, in Cooper county, Missouri, and when he was quite young his father came to Johnson county. His father died in 1863; his mother died Nov. 20, 1855. The subject of this sketch was first married November 23, 1854, to Miss Mary T. Jones, a native of Missouri, and from this union they have two children: Tarlton W. and William A. His wife departed this life December 23, 1862. He was again married, April 23, 1868, to Miss E. Rubey. They have three children: Fannie L., Charles T. and Henry R. He owns a fine farm of 300 acres, all under good cultivation, with fine, comfortable buildings.
