Biographical Sketch of R. Tharrington, Johnson County, Missouri Grover Township >From "The History of Johnson County, Missouri," Kansas City Historical Co. 1881 R. THARRINGTON, farmer, P.O. Knobnoster. The subject of this sketch is a native of North Carolina, and was born, August 9, 1829. In the year 1850, he immigrated to Wickley county, Tennessee, and in 1853 he came to Johnson county, Missouri. He was married in 1856, to Miss Harriet Ann Porter, a native of Tennessee, and from that union they have six children living: William J., Robert, Mary E., James M., Remah and John W.
