Hankins, died quite suddenly Monday morning about 10 o'clock. Her health had been very poor for some time but she was up and around as usual that morning. The deceased's maiden name was Music. She was born in Middleton, Montgomery County, Missouri in 1838. She was first married to Johnson Jones, who died in 1864. By this marriage she had 3 children, girls, all living. In 1867 she married J.W. Hankins and to them were born 8 children, 4 of whom are living. She joined the Christian Church when 15 years of age and afterwards she united with the Latter Day Saints, remaining faithful to that church until she died. The funeral was preached by Elder John Kaler at the LDS church Tuesday afternoon and the body afterwards interred in the City Cemetery.
