Lebanon Daily Record  August, 1970
Anna Katherine (Cordes) Arndt 84 of Lebanon died at 8:45 am on Tuesday at Baker 
Nursing Home.  Funeral Services will be at 10 a. m. Friday. The Rev. H. 
Christiansen  will officiate the service at the Colonial Chapel.  Burial will 
take place in the Lebanon Cemetery.

Mrs. Arndt was born August 13, 1885 to Claus Henry Cordes and Johanna Ottilie 
Neitzel in Iowa.  Mrs. Arndt was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 
Gustav Ewalt Arndt. One daughter, Ella Arndt and three sons, Henry , Gustav 
Adolph and Leo R. Arndt.

Mrs. Arndt is survived by four sons and five daughters:  Emil Arndt of Seattle, 
Washington, Roy Arndt of Atlanta, Georgia, Fred of Garrison, North Dakota and 
Walter Arndt of Plymouth, Oregon.   Anna Hutton of Seattle, Washington, Martha 
Young of Kirkland, Washington, Lydia McGuire of St. Charles, Missouri,  Emma 
Brooks  and Minnitt Hawk both of El Paso, Texas.

Mrs. Arndt is survived by one brother, William Cordes of Douglas, North Dakota.
Other survivors include four sisters;  Miss Bertha Cordes of Seattle, 
Washington; Mrs. Bert Hoel of Miles City, Montana, Mrs. Augusta Johnson and 
Mrs. Marie Fowler both of Douglas, North Dakota.

Mrs. Arndt leaves behind 22 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
