Biographical Sketch of Noah P. Adams, Lafayette County, Missouri >From "History of Lafayette County, Mo., carefully written and compiled from the most authentic official and private sources" St. Louis, Mo. Historical Company, 1881. ********************************************************************** Noah P. Adams, P. O. Odessa, Missouri. Was born in this county in 1844, and was married to Miss Mary E. Muir, December 1, 1870. In 1861 he enlisted in the Missouri state guards, then in the confederate army and served to the end of the war. Was in the battles of Lexington, Lone Jack, Westport, and Drywood, where he was captured and confined at Rock Island to the close of the war.
