Historical Company, 1881. ********************************************************************** John C. Cobb, president of Bank of Odessa, P. O. Odessa. The subject of the following is a native of this state and county; born March 18, 1843. Is the son of A. F. and Louisa Cobb, who came to this county in 1839. His early life was spent on his father's farm, where he lived until the breaking out of the war. In 1868 he was married to Miss Louisa Hobson, of Jackson, by whom he has two children: Dora Lou and Harry C. In 1879, he came to Odessa and embarked in the grain trade, which he is still following in connection with his banking business. Mr. Cobb is a man of strict integrity and close application to busi- ness; honorable in his dealings with his fellow men.
