Biographical Sketch of Thomas V. Historical Company, 1881. ********************************************************************** Thomas V. Foster, P. O. Bates City, Mo. Is a native of Franklin county, Ky., where he was born in 1844. He came with his parents to Missouri at the age of seven, and settled in Saline county, where he lived until 1859, and then, with his father, moved to this county. He has lived in this county since, except a few years spent in Carroll county, Mo., one year in Kentucky, and two years in California. He owns a fine farm of 120 acres on Texas Prairie, well improved, and with abundance of coal and well watered. He was married in 1871, to Miss Annie Duncan, of this county. They have three children: Alta A., Ada, J. E., and Tilden E. Both he and his wife are members of the Chritian church.
