Biographical Sketch of Dr. George Feagans, Lafayette County, Missouri >From "History of Lafayette County, Mo., carefully written and compiled from the most authentic official and private sources" St. Louis, Mo. Historical Company, 1881. ********************************************************************** Dr. George Feagans, physician and surgeon, of Waverly. The subject of this sketch is a native of Fauquier county, Va., born February 16, 1846. His parents, John R. and Elizabeth (White) Feagans, were natives of Va., and came to Boone county, Mo., in 1856. Thence to Lafayette county in 1860. George was educated at Haynes' High School, in Lexington, and his medical education was received at St. Louis Medical College, where he graduated in 1869-70. Then he located at Waverly, where he practiced for some time before entering Bellview Medical College of New York, in which he graduated in 1874, and returned to Waverly to practice his profession, where he has an extensive practice. In October, 1877, he was married to Miss Lutie B.
