Biographical Sketch of H. C. Francisco, Lafayette County, Missouri >From "History of Lafayette County, Mo., carefully written and compiled from the most authentic official and private sources" St. Louis, Mo. Historical Company, 1881. ********************************************************************** H. C. Francisco, stock and grain dealer, is a native of Saline county, Mo., born March 1, 1845; the son of Andrew and Joann (Christie) Francisco who were natives of Woodford county, Ky., and emigrated to Saline county, Mo., at an early day. H. C. was educated in Saline county, and at Chapel Hill college. When the war broke out he joined Taylor's company, and served in the trans-Mississippi department, serving through the war. He then returned to Saline county, where he lived for two years, then moved to Waverly, this county. In March, 1875, he was married to Miss Emma Thomas, daughter of Oscar and Serelda Thomas.
