Biographical Sketch of Paschal A. Gibbs, Lafayette County, Missouri >From "History of Lafayette County, Mo., carefully written and compiled from the most authentic official and private sources" St. Louis, Mo. Historical Company, 1881. ********************************************************************** Mr. Gibbs, one of the pioneer settleres of Lafayette county, is a native of Bradford County, Va., born November 21, 1807. Was there reared and educated. In 1837, he moved to Missouri, and located on a farm near Odessa, in Lafayette County, where he has since been engaged in cultivating a fine farm, also paying considerable atten- tion to stock raising. He was married, December 12, 1833, to Miss Cassie A. Creasey, a native of Virginia. They have two children, both living, viz.: Thomas G. and Mrs. Susanna B. Elliott. Is a member of the State Grange, and also of the Baptist Church. Mr. Gibbs came to Missouri in company with his father-in-law, Thomas B. Creasey, who died in 1843. Mr. Gibbs died, February 18, 1877.
