Was born in Woodford county, Kentucky, and at four years of age moved with his parents to Missouri, and settled in this county, where he has lived ever since, engaged in farming. On the 23rd of December, 1874, he was married to Miss S. R. Thorp, of this county, by whom he has two children: James and Charles living.
