Biographical Sketch of Harrison Luttrell, Lafayette County, Missouri >From "History of Lafayette County, Mo., carefully written and compiled from the most authentic official and private sources" St. Louis, Mo. Historical Company, 1881. ********************************************************************** Harrison Luttrell, P. O. Aullville, Mo., son of Richard and Polly Luttrell. Was born February 3, 1835, in Clinton County, Ohio, where he was raised and educated. He continued on his father's farm until 1861, when he enlisted in the union army under Gen. Sherman, Company D, 48th Ohio Regiment, and was in the army three years. He was wounded once, in the shoulder by a minnie ball, at Arkansas Post; was discharged in Indianapolis, and returned home. On the 26th of October, 1865, he was married to Miss Margaret Smith, of Lafayette county, Ohio. The following spring he moved to Johnson county, Mo., and in 1868, he moved to this county, locating six miles southwest of Aullville, purchasing 160 acres, known as the old Honey Ford farm, on Davis Creek, and has devoted his attention a good deal to raising stock, especially horses. He has five children: Leona M., Bardolia A., Georgia A., Mary K., and Maggie, all living. Both himself and wife, and three of his children are members of the Methodist Epsicopal Church.
