Historical Company, 1881. ********************************************************************** Sterling Powers, P. O. Odessa, Missouri. Was born July 5, 1832, in Kenton county, Ky., and moved to Missouri in 1852. He is the son of Richard C. and Judah Powers. His father came to Kentucky from Richmond, Virginia, and his mother was born in Bourbon county, Kentucky. On the 20th of June, 1858, he was married to Miss Elizabeth Cox, daughter of Joseph Cox, of this county. Mr. Powers owns 232 acres of prairie land and by his energy and sagacity has made himself a comfortable home.
