Biographical Sketch of H. B. Tunstall, Lafayette County, Missouri >From "History of Lafayette County, Mo., carefully written and compiled from the most authentic official and private sources" St. Louis, Mo. Historical Company, 1881. ********************************************************************** H. B. Tunstall, dry goods, post office Odessa. Born in Gallatin Co., Kentucky, in 1849. At the age of fifteen he came to this state and county, and engaged as salesman in a dry goods store in Lexington, where he remained for eighteen months. He then went to Illinois, where he remaine3d until the year 1866, when he moved to Wellington, and embarked in the mercantile business, which he followed there until 1879. He then came back to this county, and located in Odessa, where he is doing a good business. In 1875, March 5th, he was married to Miss M. L. Ferrell, of this county. They have three children: Katie, Sophia and George. Mr. Tunstall is a member of the I. O. O. F., and also of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. His parents, J. V. and Z. Tunstall, were born and bred in Kentucky.
