Funeral sevices were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Greenton Baptist Church. The Rev. Chester A. Smart, pastor of the Wellington Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in Greenton Cemetary. Pallbearers were Aubrey Kite, Allen Barker, Paul Colvin, Jim Gamblin, Melvin Hyatt & Hubert Bowlin. Lester Wilburn Hyatt, son of Dora Colvin and Tom Hyatt was born February 14, 1918 in Odessa. On December 14, 1944, he was united in marriage to Juanita Jefferies of Odessa. Mr. Hyatt had followed the farming profession. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army from February 16, 1942, until November 20, 1945. Mr. Hyatt was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife and a daughter, Linda Elaine, both of the home; two brothers, Gordon Hyatt, Kansas City, Kan., and Colvin Hyatt, Raytown; One sister, Mrs. Noel Campbell, Route 1, Odessa.
