From that time on he lived a faithful Christian life. His wife preceded him into the beyond about a year and half ago. Since that time he was homesick and wanted to go himself. He passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bertha Gibson, where all was done for him by loving hands that could be done. The funeral service took place Sunday morning at 10 o'clock in the Methodist Episcopal church. Rev. Roy Nolte, the former pastor, who, had conducted the funeral service for Mrs. Stanfield, delivered the sermon. Interment was made in Mount Tabor cemetery.
