Brown of the second part all of the county of Lewis & State of Missouri. Witnesseth the party of the first part have This Day granted bargained Sold & do by these presents Grant bargain Sell & Convey & confirm all the right Title & Interest in the following described Real Estate Lying & being in the County of Lewis & Known & designated as follows: the East half of the South West Quarter of Section nine Township Sixty of Range Six, also the West half of the South East Quarter of Section nine Township Sixty of Range Six, also the East half of the North West Quarter of Section Nine Township Sixty of Range Six Containing in all Two Hundred & forty Acres be the same more or less for & in consideration of the Sum of Eighteen Hundred Dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the party of the first part. Now the party of the first part for themselves their heirs Executors or Administrators do agree & covenant that the party of the Second part To have and to Hold Said Real Estate with all & Singular the rights privileges appurtenances thereunto belonging or appertaining thereto forever. The party of the first part do agree to warrant & Defend the right title & interest against the claim or claims of Every person whatsoever To Said Real Estate as described in said Deed to the party of the Second part & their heirs forever. Joseph Biggs (Seal) Josephine Biggs (Seal) State of Missouri County of Lewis On this 20th Day of February 1852 personally appeared Joseph Biggs & Josephine Biggs both Known to the undersigned a Justice of the peace within & for Said County to be the persons whose names are Subscribed to the within Deed as parties thereto this appeared before me & acknowledged that they Executed & Delivered the Same as their voluntary act & deed for the uses & purposes therein contained & the said Josephine H. Biggs being by me made acquainted with the contents of Said Deed acknowledged on an Examination apart from her Said husband that she Executed the same & relinquished her Dower in the real Estate therein mentioned freely & without compulsion or undue influence of her said husband.
